ABOUT THE MASTERCLASS:
Yagazie Emezi will break down how to use fashion imagery as a powerful tool for storytelling. With her background in photojournalism, she will share how to approach fashion photography with the intention to build visual stories that carry cultural weight, social relevance, and artistic purpose. She will later be joined on stage by Nelson C.J., a writer and cultural curator, for an insightful dialogue on fashion imagery.
ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
Yagazie Emezi is a multidisciplinary artist in photography and textile focused on unearthing global patterns of inequity from an indigenous point of view. Her practice is informed by her extensive background in photojournalism covering global issues around corruption, environmental failure, and the extension of colonial policies into current international relations.
